Dr. Robyn Savitzky is an active performer, teacher, orchestral, and chamber musician. An avid chamber musician, she has attended festivals such as Meadowmount, the St. Lawrence String Quartet’s seminar at Stanford, LyricaFest, and Garth Newel. Additionally Dr. Savitzky has performed in the viola sections of the Naples Philharmonic and the Florida Grand Opera.
Robyn enjoys teaching both violin and viola to students of all ages. She has held a Teaching Artist assistantship through the Brooklyn Philharmonic outreach and taught for Frost MusicReach and the Miami Music Project. Currently, Dr. Savitzky teaches violin and viola students throughout the Miami region, as an Adjunct Instructor at Westminster Christian School and a Teaching Artist at the Community Arts Program. Since 2021, Robyn has worked as an Artist-in-Residence at the Miami Cancer Institute where she provides daily music engagements for patients and caregivers.
Robyn received her Doctor of Musical Arts in Viola Performance from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music as a Teaching Assistant and Henry Mancini Institute Fellow. She also received her Artist Diploma from the Frost School, and holds viola performance degrees from New York University and Indiana University.
